For residential projects, we typically serve clients within about a one-hour drive from Tallahassee. For commercial projects, we’re happy to travel farther depending on the size and scope of the job.
We can provide structural repairs and renovations to your residential or commercial property, and also perform consultation and construction management work.
Yes. Permits are required for:
- Any licensed trade work (roofing, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, solar, pools)
- Structural repairs or additions
- Renovations that change the layout of your home or commercial space
We handle the permitting process to ensure your project is fully compliant with local regulations.
We offer financing options through a variety of trusted financial partners. However, we do not offer a buy-now, pay-later or in-house financing program.
All of our roofing installers and in-house carpenters are W2 employees. Florida law prohibits subcontracting any licensed trade work to non-licensed installers, so you can trust that all work is done safely and professionally.

Our process involves allowing your insurance company to inspect the property and provide an estimate for the work they deem necessary. We then perform our own inspection and compare their estimate to our findings. If there are discrepancies, we can either guide you in working with your insurance provider or assist with negotiations.
Alternatively, we can provide a contract to complete the work without involving your insurance company and help you collect payment directly. It’s important to decide this at the start of the project, as we must document the work needed to restore your property to its pre-claim condition. We cannot negotiate with insurance after the work is completed.
If your roof has minor leaks, missing shingles, or small areas of damage, a repair may be all that’s needed. However, widespread wear, multiple leaks, or an aging roof may mean that a full replacement is the safer and more cost-effective option. At TSpark, we perform thorough assessments for both residential and commercial roofs to recommend the solution that fits your property, needs, and budget.
Roof lifespan varies by material and installation quality. Asphalt shingles can last 15–30 years, while metal, tile, and commercial systems, such as TPO, PVC, and EPDM, can last even longer with proper maintenance. Regular inspections and timely repairs help maximize your roof’s longevity, keeping your property protected.
Whether your insurance covers it depends on your policy and what caused the damage. Storms, hail, and accidental damage may be covered, while normal wear and tear typically is not. TSpark can assist by performing leak diagnoses, providing documentation, and helping guide the insurance process so you get the support you need.
As a licensed general contractor and licensed roofing contractor, we can make structural repairs at the time of repairing or replacing your roof system.
There are several different roof inspections that you may be asked to obtain. The requirements for each inspection are very different. We can perform these inspections and certify the inspection if required. Pricing will vary depending on the type of inspection and the number of hours spent putting them together.
No, a roofing contractor must possess a building contractor license or a general contractor license to perform structural repairs.
Shingle roofs are more cost-efficient compared to other roof systems. Shingles provide the home or building owner with Lifetime Material Warranties and a 130 mph wind warranty, provided they are installed to the manufacturer's specifications.
Asbestos roofs can only be repaired if cutting or drilling of the tiles is not required. The dust from cutting or drilling on the tile is what can be harmful to an installer or those individuals in the area while work is being performed. Asbestos roofing or siding must be removed by a licensed asbestos abatement company and properly disposed of according to city, county, state, and federal guidelines.
Yes, both are repairable, but the customer would ideally need to have extra tiles on site. Matching existing tiles can be a challenge, and most tile companies require contractors to buy tiles by the full pallet.
If you are trying to avoid replacing your roof after receiving a letter from insurance, you can sometimes get an insurance certification letter stating the roof is in good condition and has no signs of leaking, patchwork, or deficiencies that can lead to roof failure.
However, it’s crucial to check with your insurance provider to see if they will accept these letters before paying for this to be done. Some insurance companies will allow you to exclude your roof from your policy coverage or put it on a cash value policy (meaning they will only pay any claim for the remaining useful life of the existing roof).
Flat roofs can be challenging for some homeowners. They require more frequent maintenance, and due to their lower pitch, they take more abuse from the extreme temperatures and heavy rainfall. There are several options for a low-sloped roof, but shingles can not be installed on slopes below a 2:12 pitch.
Metal roofs with exposed fasteners can be a source of leak exposure for your home if not installed correctly with the correct fasteners. Installing metal panels directly to the roof decking allows the panels to move as the roof decking expands and contracts.
We always recommend installing metal panels on a wood batten system to reduce movement on the screws. We recommend only using wood-zac screws for metal roof systems with exposed fasteners. The "zac" screw is designed to protect the rubber washer from the elements of heat and UV exposure.
Solar panels do not damage a roof if installed correctly. We recommend that you have your roof inspected before electing to install solar panels to determine the remaining lifespan of your roof. Installing solar panels on an older roof can be cost-prohibitive since the panels will need to be removed to replace the roof.
The drier months of the year are always best for roofing projects if you want the quickest turnaround time. However, we install roofs year-round and work around any weather complications.
Not always. For many residential remodels, you can remain in your home, though some areas may be temporarily off-limits. In commercial settings, we often coordinate work in phases or off-hours to minimize business disruption. We’ll discuss your specific needs ahead of time to create a plan that keeps life and business running as smoothly as possible.

Preparation depends on the project, but generally, you’ll need to clear the work area of personal items, furniture, or equipment. For commercial spaces, this may mean relocating certain operations temporarily. We’ll provide you with a preparation checklist before construction begins so you know exactly how to get your space ready.
With our One-Day Bath process, many bathroom remodels can be completed in as little as one day. That means minimal disruption to your home or business, while completely transforming your space into a beautiful and functional sanctuary. Larger or more complex projects may take longer, but we provide a clear timeline upfront so you know exactly what to expect.

Acrylic options are typically more cost-efficient and maintenance-free when renovating a bathroom. Tile options are usually more costly but provide more choices for color and design. Larger showers or tub areas may be better suited for tile than acrylic.

We do all types of siding, including vinyl, composite, masonite, wood, & cement siding.
All renovations or additions require a set of plans in order to get a building permit. Commercial renovations with a value of $25,000 and above must have licensed and stamped architectural plans for obtaining a permit.
There isn’t a single “best” time of year for a construction project. We recommend scheduling based on your personal availability and budget. Keep in mind that holidays like Christmas and New Year’s can slow manufacturing and supplies, which may lead to longer completion times.
